When in 2013 Blizzard dumped Diablo 3 on the consoles, we got a definite proof of how the genre of hack’n’slash RPGs can be as good quality and fun as we play it on our computer portals. This happened much earlier, even with the first Diablo, but the difference between the first and the third part somehow improved the point that the action mask could work on the consoles. The one who played this title on the consoles must remember how much the possibility of dodging the balls saved…

The horror scene of the asymmetric multiplayer was popularized last year by Dead By Daylight, and it seems we can expect a few more similar games soon. The first candidate for us is Friday the 13: The Game, which is trying a very similar thing, but with a few important differences and the essence of the movie classic. People who watched at least one of thousands of “Friday Night 13” apples know that Jason Voorhees is an unstoppable machine that can not be solved. On this matter, Friday the…

Prey stems from school so-called. A ‘immersive sim’ design that gave her ideas some of the most impressive games. Classic examples of such games would be serials such as System Shock, BioShock, Deus Ex, Thief, and Stalker that share some of the features. An open world is limited, but very dense and detailed with clear rules and deep simulation through physics and mechanics at player disposal. In addition, the story of such games is mostly made to interpret the player through exploration and conjunction, which makes each move unique….

I remember the day I spent a school year living with a cousin whose geek collage dominated the then Nintendo 64 console. Since I was in the PlayStation Camp, Nintendo 64 literally could not think of the disgusting controller design and generally boring games (because the cousin for some reason had no Nintendo games). However, we had a game that has been having fun for almost all of the year and I still remember the N64 as a fun platform. It was NBA Jam 2000 – an arcade basketball…

War has been a part of humanity for thousands of years. They were still wandering at the time of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans who, besides mysterious history, left generations of dominant domination and glory to future generations. Arab conquest of Egypt, Peloponnesian wars, Norman conquest of England, Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, Operation Barbarossa, Homeland War … all this is the wars that triggered certain nations with the intent to expand their territory to the detriment of the other people and to establish their own power in the…

Nostalgia is a tough thing. During the 3D platform Yooka-Laylee I fell to the lizards and bats of the 90s who came to today’s platform. I enjoyed most of the time spent in the game, but it was a shame to me to start it while other people beside me. Namely, Yooka-Laylee is a picture and a picture of what videogames represented at the end of the 90s – an unhappy fun without a real story or something else that would keep you in permanent memory. This game works…

One of my personal favorite genres has always been 3D platformers. In the golden age of the platform on our thick TVs, we could hear the cheerful sounds of jumping like heroes such as Super Mario, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro or Banjo Kazooie. Today, the situation is, unfortunately, far worse for genre lovers, so every title is greeted with a big smile on the face. A similar situation happened with the arrival of Snake Pass to my console because the tones were happy and the colorful world immediately warmed up…

Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Knights fans, ten years ago, caught up in the head, hearing that Electronic Arts‘s publishing house was bought by the BioWare development team. Electronic Arts already had the reputation of a bad company that devoured talented teams by first buying them, then limiting them to work and finally dispensing them when they no longer make a profit. However, BioWare has not (yet) had the fate of the creators of SimCity, Command & Conquera, Medal of Honor, and Need for Speed. Indeed, Canadian RPG masters by…

When talking about the history of the Middle Ages, the people of this period is often described as the era of ignorance, superstition, oppression and barbarism. However, these same people often forget that the Middle Ages, just as the time of Gothic art and architecture, the birth of the university and the awakening of philosophical thought. Besides the intriguing historical stories that we read from various historical sources, this dynamic era left behind some interesting fantasy elements, including green dwarf creatures – goblins. It was Styx – misanthrope these…
