When we talk about every next edition of the FIFA and PES series, the list of wishes is first and foremost a matter of the ups and downs in the green lawns. We want a realistic and authentic football experience and we all have a vision for what it should look like. Sometimes we want to see some new types of competitions, challenges, and modes of play, but we are mostly not concerned with what a football simulation that goes out every year should be as a total product. After all, a good number of fans would have no idea that football simulations come with only offline / online exibition mode because that’s the very essence of what’s needed for a single soccer game – the match is always a match, whatever you turn.

However, last year, EA Sports gave us a new definition of content that we can expect from the FIFA bundle. For the first time since the football simulation, we got the fashion in which football has a story. A bit stupid story, but still there. Let’s now ignore the Captain Tsubas games that have never been simulations, but strategies, the fact is that the so-called ” Journey mode opened up a huge space to advance a football game outside the field itself. After more than twenty years, there are two current soccer series, we’ve seen something completely different.

Maybe you do not care about it and you do not want to touch Journey Mode either. You may think that this is a waste of budget spending for game development. However, this will not change the fact that Journey Mode and Alex Hunter are returning to Fifi. And when that is the case, then it is better for them to come back in an extended and upgraded release. If the first season was just warming up, we have five ideas with which future FIFA games, starting with Fifom 18, should realize the full potential of Journey Fashion.

5. MORAL OF MORAL

Alex Hunter’s story is mostly fixed and only a few points can end up with a “Game Over” screen. However, Hunter could define his player as a flamboyant, measured or calm person, which had little impact on the relationship with the trainer or the fight for the place in the first team. This mechanics is polite, but very superficial, and it would be a good extension to Hunter’s morale.

For example, Hunter’s relationship with fans could have some specific significance – in games when “the ball is not going”, support from the forum could give him a wind in his back. With good morale, Hunter would have, for example, 10-20% better skill statistics, and in the bad score series he would begin to fall.

This does not have to mean that playing is easier when it is won and more difficult when it is lost. It is possible, for example, to make it possible to play off-field sequences with Hunter’s teammates, family and friends against the event in the field. We saw that Hunter would have a girl this time, so it would be interesting to have his personal life affecting that sport, and vice versa.

Moral is present with career players but defines the player’s pleasure in the team, not his playing field. For years, morally, morality is part of the invisible “handicap” in FUT mode, so it is unlikely that EA Sports could introduce something like a dynamic system of morale during the game, at least not in public. However, we would be happy with the changes in statistics before and after the game as in the player’s career mode.

4. SUSPENSION

The injuries of footballers are almost an integral part of their job. Some careers are stagnating and falling because of this, but one thing is common in all scenarios – the player does not pause all activities until he recovers. Since events in Hunter’s career are scripted (for example, the game decides when you will be loaned to another club), it would be convenient to face injury that would eventually break the monotony of training-match-training-training routines.

I do not say we need mini-games to dive into the spa or something, but we would say it would be interesting if the injured Hunter had to train on a special program. As there is no conditioning in Fifi, it would be nice to introduce medical balls. It may sound like an unnecessary complication for a single soccer game, but remember to give Journey mode the interview after the match. How would the interview be more important than presenting rehabilitation in modern football?

3. INVITATION TO NATIONAL SELECTION

Every footballer remembers the first call for a national team, except for Luka Modric. Calling a national type for many players is an additional challenge and opportunity for further progress. I’m pretty sure this is the next step for Alex Hunter, if not this season then surely in the coming. Given that this is an 18-year-old footballer, it is likely that he could play for U21 first.

Although at national level, the player would not have much freedom in choosing the team because Hunter is almost certainly a member of “Gordon Albion”, it is possible to conceive of a scenario that for a family tree a player can play for several national selections in the offer. In addition to adding international competitions to the season, the player would testify to a different soccer dimension outside the club’s level.

2. NEW TRAINING RESOURCES

Let’s be realistic, the trainings were the most wonderful part of the first season of Journey Fashion. At first they were fun, but the season was long and even after a few games it became clear how you would repeat one of these same exercises until you know how to do it without looking. I mentioned earlier that there is no such thing as fitness preparation, and besides, I do not believe that the introduction of pre-season competitions would contribute to solving this problem even more.

Of course I do not expect the training plan to be different from the team to the team, but at the minimum level of progress I hope at least a number of skill games. I would like to see pre-defined actions with the AI teammates instead of the current system in which players require that I agree to a creative action – although the coach chooses what to train.

1. LARGE CONTROL TO THE PLAY

Though you can dictate everything in the field, Hunter’s story is locked for your desires. For example, you do not have such control over the image at any time that you may, for example, request transfer to another club or terminate the contract with the existing one. In that little interaction with other characters, you can not do anything other than irrelevant things, so it turns out that the life of a footballer is pretty bad. No autograms are provided, sponsorship does not mean absolutely anything, and buying an apartment is of no significance to the story because you do not decide how you will spend the money you earn.

I think most of these things were superficial because EA Sports caught up with stories in their soccer simulation for the first time, so they did not want to be overly complicated with ambitions. However, the situation is now somewhat different – the experience they have, the resources I really do not see can not make a better “adventure” than Telltale’s work. They do not even have to invent hot water – for conferences and conferences to look at the 2K Sports yard, the sponsorship model can be picked up by Codemasters, and if scanything, the fellow team at BioWare can learn about two mini-seduction games.
